Looking for a college?

First I would like to know who is looking for what. I thought it is me who is supposed to look for the best University meeting my expectation, or at least this is the basic idea I had in mind till till we start to receive letters from College and University starting with a catchy attention getter like’’ Emilie, we are interested in you and you will find in the program attached all the benefits to join University X.’’

So, now I have the unpleasant impression to have been converted into a product to be purchased. It is really disappointing and worrying to see that this important step I am taking for my future is only a question of business and I am reduced to the state of a product. I would much prefer receiving objective advices on the different processes possible and steps to take to access the career I have in mind. How can I make sure I will be receiving honest advices to my question if I know that the driver for the university is money only. I think I will have to make my own experience and start to talk with some of them and make my form my own opinions.

This step in our life is very important and exciting and I really would like to make sure I will make the good choice. A good choice first for the studies delivered and the environment offered for my own development and secondly because I know that my mother will be main contributor and I profoundly respect and consider that point in my search too.
